Vintage Advertising

Back when was Puddle of Mudd were in the charts and Seabiscuit was a big movie, this website’s core content was vintage advertising. In fact, it remained that way for almost a decade. During that time, I acquired thousands of images from a variety of publications — foreign and domestic, and with some help, created a vintage advertising website.

Close to eight people might have viewed the site but it was enjoyable to curate.

Not wanting to forget where I came from and thinking back to when Six Feet Under was the best thing on the small screen, I’ve curated a handsome collection of those ads and sorted them into twelve bits. A notch under a baker’s dozen if you will.

However, I’ve always thought the images stand on their own, so a large number of these ads have been trimmed of their wordy bits and pieces. Purists may get snippy, but artsy fartsy types may embrace it.

What is left is something of a mood board.
